To join The Samba Blisstas you generally need to first come to a 4 week Carnaval Drumming and Percussion course.

Our next series of courses commences in Bangalow on Tuesday 1st May 2012 at the Bangalow Pavilion Hall 6.00pm - 8.00pm and in Kingscliff on Wednesday 2nd May 2012 at the Kingscliff Bowling Club 6.00pm - 8.00pm.

Hearts Aflame Productions invites you to Tyalgum Hall for an evening of fashion and live music on Saturday 19 May.  View the latest Australian and European women's fashions from Chantilly Lace Boutique and menswear from Paddington of Tyalgum, along with live music by up-and-coming local band, The h'Art Collective and favourites Barnaby & Durand.  A highlight of the evening show will be selections from Tyalgum designer Narendra Confucius' Illuminati collection that wowed audiences at last year's Australian Fashion Week in Sydney.

Tweed Valley Miniature Steam Railway proudly present "A STEAMING DAY" supporting Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Come along to Tropical Fruit World between 9.00am and 3.00pm on Sunday May 20 and enjoy a "Family Fun Day"  - join in the thrills and experience the Live miniature steam locomotives (closed in shoes MUST be worn), face painting, jumping castle, magician and more.  There will be a BBQ with sausages/steak sandwiches and cold drinks.  Cost is $10.00 pp (children 10 and under Free)

Tyalgum Festival Committee and Mavis's Kitchen @ Mt Warning present Classic Cuisine and Music at their 2012 Dinner Concerts. The third concert features Eve Newsome on Oboe and Patrick Nolan on Flute.  Program will include Ridout (flute and narrator), Britten Pan (oboe and narrator), Debussy Syrinx , Mozart duets, demonstration of cor anglais and/or oboe d'amore, other duets TBA

The third Annual Alstonville Rotary Antiques & Collectables fair will be held on the third weekend in May 2012. There will be a vast array of quality antiques,books and collectables for sale from all over the world, brought to you by over 30 reputable dealers from around Australia. Some of the items for sale will include: antique furniture, books, oil lamps, toys, dolls, jewellery, coins and stamps, military memorabilia, plus fine china including Beswick, Moorcroft and Royal Doulton.

Food and refreshments will be available, plus lucky door prizes and displays of vintage, veteran, sports and classic cars. Admission is just $5.00 and children under 14 years of age free, when accompanied by an adult. All proceeds will go towards Rotary projects.
