The Hyundai Malfunction Surf Festival features a surfing competition suitable for a range of abilities from family to elite level. One of the world's truly iconic events, the festival combines a weekend of traditional longboard surfing action with a community program of art, fashion and entertainment.

Walks occur at 7.30am (NSW) every Thursday morning and the second Sunday of every month at a variety of locations throughout the Tweed. There are approximately 240 bird species in the Tweed from those found by the ocean and estuaries through to the hinterland forests.
